fall adventures

We went to Hillridge Farms to pick out our pumpkin this year.  The place was like a pumpkin patch on crack meets the state fair with everything from hay mazes to corn pits to pig races to tractor rides and all of the fair food you could imagine.  It was insane!

It was a beautiful and warm day so we took our time and walked around to make sure we didn't miss out on anything.

We ended our afternoon with a hay ride down to the "patch" [better described as a field with pumpkins of the same size everywhere] to pick our pumpkins.

And excuse the ridiculousness of this picture, but you have to, right?
happy fall, y'all!

shower the people you love with love

My sweet friend Brandy threw a baby shower for baby Addison with the girls from work.  It was such a cute and girly affair with delicious brunch food and close friends.  The details were pretty and pink and I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Most of the friends that came have little ones around Lucas's age that all happen to be little girls.  The level of pitched squeals and giggles was impressive and was a definite glimpse into our future of having a little girl!  Girls' temperaments are so different from that of boys, and I got a very clear picture of this with 5 little girls squealing and jumping together on a bed.  It was so fun.

Thanks, Brandy!
